HAPLD FRIENDS FOUNDATION
General Meeting December 20, 2019
The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in the Program room of the Library.
Those in attendance: Diane Benson, Darcy Chadwick, Connie Corwin, Pat Darow, Carol David, Deanna Engelke, Genevive Hochwarter, Dianne Hoerter, Stevie Massie, Marsha Natkins, Jackie Pollock, Janis Ruffino, Martha Schooley, Judy Schrader, Marge Smith, Helen Terziski, Kathleen Wulf. Doug Cataldo, Computer Systems Administrator
Genevieve Hocwarter called the meeting to order at 11:07 a.m.
Director’s Report
In the absence of the director, Doug Cataldo reported that the bids for the building expansion had come in on Thursday. The current Program Room will shrink when some temporary walls are erected during construction.
Secretary’s Report
Connie Corwin moved that the November secretary’s report be accepted. Carol David seconded. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
Diane Benson reported a balance of $43,335.13. The final check to the library will be about $45,000. $1500 will be kept in the treasury to start the new year (2020).
Holiday Basket Sales
As of December 16, $3,000 has been received.
December Book Sale:
The December Book Sale raised just over $1100. Friday night, during Very Merry Huntley, the total sales were $381.
National Day of Giving
As of December 16, $2,990 was raised to fund the outdoor area between the Library and Parisek Park.
Baubles & Bling Fundraiser
The next Friends fundraiser will be February 1 in the Program Room. Donated jewelry, bags, purses and scarves will be for sale 9:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Committee will meet at Genevieve’s home after the Board meeting, January 10.
Jackie Pollack moved to adjourn, Judy Schrader seconded, the motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 11:18 a.m.

Following the meeting, Janis Ruffino conducted the drawing of the 11 basket winners.
