General Meeting           November 18, 2022
The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in Program Room 1

Those in attendance: Sandy Bannon, Diane Becker, Pat Darow, Carol David, Deanna Engelke, Robin Evert, Nancy Hall, Nancy Hardy, Genevieve Hochwarter, Dianne Hoerter, Karen Hutchings, Melanie LoPicollo, Jeanette Lohan, Debbie Luetscher, Michele May, Marsha Natkins, Shirley Nowak, Sharon Peacock, Janis Ruffino, Marge Smith, Penny Thoma, Pat Totman, Ellie Vogel, Jim Zdeb, Ziggy. Staff: Pamela Kampwerth, Head of Programming and Outreach

At 11:05, Genevieve Hochwarter called the meeting to order.

Secretary’s Report
Nancy Hardy moved that the September minutes be accepted, Pat Totman seconded, the motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report showed a balance of $45,600. $1500.00 was received from the Fall Fest Committee. Shirley Nowak moved the statement be accepted, Nancy Hardy seconded, the motion passed unanimously.

Recaps
The Fall Fest Book Sale was a success. Many bags were purchased on Sunday.
The October Luncheon was held during National Friends of the Library Week. Everyone likes holding the luncheon in October. It is hoped that next year we will be able to celebrate earnings of $1,000,000 for the library.

 Fundraisers
Holiday Baskets Raffle: November 18 – December 8
$775.00 has been received in donations. Tickets $1 each or 6 for $5, are on sale at the information desk
#GivingTuesday: A mailing was sent out asking for donations to be used for programming
Baubles & Bling: The next jewelry sale will be February 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jewelry in good condition can be given to a Friends Board Member or dropped off at the library from January 2 to January 31. Jewelry, scarves (in good shape) and purses with a retail value of at least $50 will be accepted (no brooches or pins).

Program
A video was shown highlighting Friends’ activities throughout the year.
Pamela demonstrated how to sign up for meetings and other programs at the library on the library website.
A game of Turkey Trivia was played.
Each attendee received 2 Holiday Raffle tickets.
