General Meeting

Those in attendance: Deborah Cullen, Jerry Darow, Pat Darow, Carol David, Deanna Engelke, Nancy Hardy, Genevieve Hochwarter, Dianne Hoerter, Karen Hutchings, Janet Kirby, Jeannette Lohan, Pat Milford, Marsha Natkins, Shirley Nowak, Jackie Pollack, Mary Ann Schopen, Marge Smith, Susan Schwartz, Carol Watermann

Staff: Pamela Kampwerth, Head of Programming and Outreach; Nancy Bacheller, Local History Associate

At 11:00 a.m. Pamela Kampwerth introduced the program.

Program
Nancy Bacheller presented “Huntley History Shorts” 

Secretary’s Report
Karen Hutchings moved the August minutes be approved, Susan Schwartz seconded, the motion was approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Carol David presented the treasurer’s report. Bank accounts: $41,403.27; CD: $76,776.99
Nancy Hardy moved the treasurer’s report be approved, Jeanette Lohan seconded, the motion was approved.

Nominations
The slate was presented for the coming year’s Board of Directors: President, Genevieve Hochwarter; Vice President, Janis Ruffino; Secretary, Marge Smith; Treasurer, Carol David; Members at Large, Vito Benigno, Darcy Chadwick, Connie Corwin, Pat Darow, Nancy Hardy, and Shirley Nowak.

 Holiday Basket Committee
The Committee has met once. The next meeting is Friday Oct. 4, 11:00 a.m. Anyone else interested is welcome to join the committee!

 September Book Sale Recap
About $1,750 was raised.! Seven people joined Friends so they could shop the book sale early on Friday. Nine coupons from the Friends newsletter were used at the sale. [The Friends will not host a book sale at Fall Fest}

General Meetings
October 18 – Open House to Celebrate Friends of Libraries Week; Please invite a friend to join you!
November 15 – Basket preview and Turkey Trivia
December 20 – Basket winners drawn and holiday cheer

Carol David moved the meeting adjourn, Deanna Engelke seconded, the motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
