General Meeting        September 15, 2017

The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in the Program Room at the Library.
Those in attendance were: Diane Becker, Diane Benson, Sandy Cooper, Pat Cornwell, Pat Darow, Deanna Engelke, Marilyn Graunke, Nancy Hardy, Genevieve Hochwarter, Karen Hutchings, Stevie Massei, Janis Ruffino, Judy Schrader, Cory Sesko, Marge Smith, Reta Stohs, Pat Totman.  Library Liaison, Pamela Kampwerth.

At 11:06 a.m. Pamela Kampwerth introduced the speaker, Nancy Bacheller. Nancy presented the program “Thomas Stillwell Huntley and Charles C. Huntley”

At 11:26 a.m. Genevieve called the meeting to order.

Secretary’s Report
The August minutes were reviewed. Marilyn moved the minutes be accepted as corrected, Nancy seconded, the motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report
Diane Benson gave the treasurer’s report which showed a balance of $23,465.44. Stevie moved the treasurer’s report be accepted, Judy seconded and the motion carried.

 GoFundMe Page
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money to purchase a newer Library van. The donations will go to the Friends.

Fall Fest Book Sale, Sept 22-24
Many volunteers are needed for this event, especially with additional sale hours: Friday night, 5-9p.m., Saturday, 10a.m.-5p.m., Sunday, 11a.m.-7p.m. Extra help is needed for setup Friday morning, 9:30 a.m. Sign-up sheets were available.

Culver’s Fundraiser
Volunteers are needed for the next Culver’s fundraiser, October 2, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

October Friends’ Meeting-Friends of Libraries Week Luncheon
The Friends’ annual luncheon will be held in October instead of December. This will be instead of the October General meeting during National Friends of the Library Week. Cost will be $26.00 for Friends, $36.00 for non-Friends. Attendees must be preregistered. The December General meeting will be when the Holiday baskets winning entrees will be drawn.

Holiday Basket Committee
The next meeting of the Basket Committee will be October 6 at Genevieve’s house. Interested members should come to the 11:00 meeting.

Pat Cornwell moved that the meeting adjourn, Sandy seconded, the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 11:56 a.m.
