General Meeting November 15, 2019
The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in the Program room of the Library.

Janis Ruffina called the meeting to order at 11:06 a.m.
Director’s Report
Frank Novak showed the latest revisions for the Library expansion. Groundbreaking will be February 19, 2020 at noon. Tentatively the Grand Opening will be January 2022.
Secretary’s Report
Nancy Hardy moved that the September secretary’s report be accepted. Carol David seconded. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report showed a balance of $28,222.59. Reta Stohs moved the treasurer’s report be accepted, Pat Cornwell seconded, the motion passed.
Culver’s Fundraising Night, recap
The Friends earned fifteen percentage of Sales: $721.27. Added to the tip jar and 50/50 earnings the total for the night was $1,041.09. Thank you to all who helped make this fundraiser a success!
Annual Luncheon, recap
Annual Luncheon at Boulder Ridge had 52 attendees (2018 had 46) and was well received.
Holiday Basket Committee Report
The Committee assembled 11 baskets which are on display in the library. Tickets are on sale until December 19.
December Book Sale: December 6 – 8
Set up for the Book Sale will be Thursday, December 5 at 9:05. Volunteers are needed to work the sale Friday through Sunday.
Thank you Bagel Breakfast for Staff
The Friends will provide a bagel breakfast for the staff on Wednesday, November 20. This to express our thanks for the support the staff continues to give to the Friends.
National Day of Giving
December 3 is the National Day of Giving. Letters will be mailed to Friends asking for contributions to fund the outdoor area between the Library and Parisek Park.
Library Closed December 9-15 for the final move from the trailers
December General Meeting, December 20
The Raffle Basket winners will be drawn at the General Meeting, December 20. A year end check will be given to the library to fund programs.
