General Meeting December 9, 2022
The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in Program Room 2 & 3

At 11:00, Pamela Kampwerth introduced speaker Eugene Flynn and his program “Christmas Markets in Prague and Germany”.
Following the program Janis Ruffino called the meeting to order.
Secretary’s Report
Reta Stohs moved that the November minutes be accepted, Carol David seconded, the motion passed unanimously. Marge Smith read a letter from the Library thanking the Friends for supporting Very Merry Huntley and helping fund the reindeer.
Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report showed a balance of $53,387.16. Carol David pointed out that 2022 was a great year. Corner Books brought in about $1000 each month. Connie Corwin moved the statement be accepted, Nancy Hardy seconded, the motion passed unanimously.
Fundraisers
- #GivingTuesday: Donations are still being accepted.
- Baubles & Bling: The next jewelry sale will be February 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jewelry in good condition can be given to a Friends Board Member or dropped off at the library from January 2 to January 31. Jewelry, scarves (in good shape) and purses with a retail value of at least $50 will be accepted (no brooches or pins).

February 17, 2023 – Program: “Romance Genre”; Choose a free romance book and enjoy a taste of chocolates!
