April 10 the Library will be closed for a Staff In-service (set-up for the weekend Book Sale will also be that morning).
During a Q & A, the Director was asked about the plastic taped up over one end of the circulation department. It is up as a windbreak during the winter. The Library Board of Trustees continue to search for a better solution.
The January minutes were reviewed. Connie Corwin moved the minutes be accepted, Stevie Massei seconded, the motion carried.
Diane Benson gave the treasurer’s report which showed a balance as of January 31 of $4,664.92. The majority of income was from Book Sales. Connie Corwin moved the report be accepted, Stevie Massei seconded. The motion carried.
The February sale did well, over $600. The next Book Sale will not be held the first weekend in April (Easter). Volunteers need to be made aware of new dates, April 11 & 12.
February Library Lover’s Heart Sale
Purchased hearts are displayed on the bulletin board behind the Information Desk and by the Children’s Department. Ideas are needed for next February’s Library Lover’s Month.
The next fundraiser at Culver’s is Monday, March 23, during Spring Break. More volunteer greeters are needed. So far a fall date has not been made available.
The Friends are registered for the Sunday, April 26 Human Race fundraiser at McHenry Community College. Everyone is encouraged to participate as they can by walking/running 5k or donating. After the meeting Pamela demonstrated how to register or donate online.
Minilinks@thelibrary Committee Forming
The dates of the minilinks and August Book Sale have been rescheduled to the third weekend. A school bus, Kona Ice will be asked to be present during the Friday, August 14 Minilinks.
