General Meeting

The HAPLD Friends Foundation members met in Program Room 3
Those in attendance: Laura Attaway, Darcy Chadwick, Pat Darrow, Deanna Engelke, Judy Engeriser, Karlith Gorka, Nancy Hall, Nancy Hardy, Genevieve Hochwarter, Dianne Hoerter, Theresa Krueger, Joan Longmire, Michele May, Shirley Nowak, Sharon Peacock, Jerry Reedy, Susan Schwartz, Marge Smith, Ellie Vogel, James Zdeb and Staff: Pamela Kampwerth, Head of Programming and Outreach
President Genevieve Hochwarter called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
Secretary’s Report
Deanne Engelke moved the September minutes be approved, Shirley Nowak seconded, the motion passed unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report showed: checkbook balance of $61,549.65, petty cash $165.04, CD: $75,000.
Michelle May, president of the Sun City Genealogy Club, presented a check for $250 from the club to use for genealogy programs.
Fundraisers Recaps
- A donation of $1500 was received from the Fall Fest Foundation. The Book Sale earned $3500.
- Culver’s Fundraiser raised nearly $1400.
- Million Dollar Friend Campaign raised $12,861.22.
Friends Celebration Luncheon
The attendance at the luncheon has decreased over the years. The consensus was that next year an open house be held at the library during National Friends of the Library Week.
Program
Pamela showed a Friends video highlighting Friends activities this past year and previous years.
The assembled played Turkey Trivia.
Each attendee received two raffle tickets for the Holiday Basket raffle.
