Program: Spilling the Tea: Women’s Activism in the Revolutionary Period.
Daughters of Liberty, homespun clothing, food riots, and the Edenton Tea party. None of these are things we hear much about when we discuss the American Revolution, but they all played a significant role in the founding of our country. Women waged economic war against Britain in ways that will fascinate and inspire as we put women’s activism in the revolutionary period into context. Presented by Sarah Sullivan, Department Chair Economics, Political Science, & History at McHenry County College.  Instructor of History and Business.  MCC Faculty Association President.
